Voilà 20 ans que le Benoit Martiny Band ou BMB est jazz n rolling et cela se fête ! Le groupe de jazz-rock, formé à l'été 2004 quelque part entre un garage à Rameldange et les rues de Rotterdam, a joué dans le monde entier au cours des 20 dernières années, du Luxembourg au Bahreïn, de la Hongrie au Japon et de l'Allemagne au Venezuela. 

La musique qu'ils jouent est composée par Martiny et s'inspire du jazz, du rock et du psychédélisme et d'artistes tels que Frank Zappa, Charles Mingus, Jimi Hendrix et King Crimson. Au fil des ans, BMB a collaboré avec de nombreux autres musiciens tels que le clarinettiste basse Michel Pilz, le chanteur Mark Lotterman, l'icône du free jazz Itaru Oki et le concepteur sonore Steve Kaspar.

It has been 20 years now since the Benoit Martiny Band or BMB are jazz n rolling and that is of course a reason to celebrate! The jazz-rock band, formed in summer 2004 somewhere in between a garage in Rameldange and the streets of Rotterdam, has been playing all over the globe in the past 20 years, from Luxembourg to Bahrain, from Hungary to Japan and from Germany to Venezuela. 

The music they play is composed by Martiny and is inspired by jazz, rock and psychedelia and artists like Frank Zappa, Charles Mingus, Jimi Hendrix and King Crimson. Over the years BMB collaborated with many other different musicians like bass clarinettist Michel Pilz, singer Mark Lotterman, free jazz icon Itaru Oki and sound designer Steve Kaspar.
