This band is a true concert band with a big jazz band sound. They excel in creating an electrifying performance, always pushing the boundaries of their instruments.

NEA Jazz Master and four-time Grammy Award Winner Stanley Clarke has attained “living legend” status during his over 50-year career as a bass virtuoso. He is the first bassist in history who doubles on acoustic and electric bass with equal ferocity and the first jazz-fusion bassist ever to headline tours, selling out shows worldwide. A veteran of over 40 albums, he won the 2011 Best Contemporary Jazz Album Grammy Award for The Stanley Clarke Band. Clarke co-founded the seminal fusion group Return to Forever with Chick Corea and Lenny White. In 2012 Return to Forever won a Grammy Award and Latin Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Forever.

Clarke’s creativity has been recognized and rewarded in every way imaginable. In 2022 Clarke was selected by the National Endowment for the Arts as one of its four new Jazz Master honorees. He was Rolling Stone’s very first Jazzman of the Year and bassist winner of Playboy’s Music Award for ten straight years. Clarke was honored with Bass Player Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award and is a member of Guitar Player Magazine’s “Gallery of Greats.” In 2011 he was honored with the highly prestigious Miles Davis Award at the Montreal Jazz Festival for his entire body of work. Clarke has won DownBeat Magazine’s Reader’s and Critics Poll for Best Electric Bass Player for many years. In September 2016 he became a part of the permanent collection displayed at the Smithsonian’s new National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) in Washington DC.

An accomplished film and TV composer of over 65 projects, his credits include Boyz N The Hood, the Tina Turner biopic What’s Love Got To Do With It, Romeo Must Die, The Transporter, Best Man Holiday and most recently the lauded 2019 documentary Halston. In 2020 he scores the music for the Hulu show Woke. He has garnered three Emmy Nominations and a BMI Award for his scoring. In 2014 Clarke was invited to become a member of the exclusive Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

Born in Philadelphia, Clarke has been a constant force of nature in American music since the early 1970s with the success of the jazz fusion group Return To Forever. That accomplishment gave way to a number of extremely successful solo albums for Clarke. Along the way, he has collaborated with Quincy Jones, Stan Getz, Art Blakey, Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, The Police, Herbie Hancock and many more, and has shared the stage with Bob Marley and Miles Davis.

Clarke heads his own record label, Roxboro Entertainment Group. He believes in giving back to help young musicians hone their skills. He and his wife Sofia established The Stanley Clarke Foundation seventeen years ago, which offers scholarships to talented young musicians.

Jazz pianist Beka Gochiashvili started playing the piano at 4-years-old and by 9 was performing in clubs in his home of Tbilisi, Georgia. At age 11 he participated in the Saulkrasti Jazz Festival in Latvia, where Beka’s talent was noticed by Lenny White, who eventually became his mentor.

By the time he was 12, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, then Secretary of State, and American cultural envoys helped him come to the US, where he was accepted at the Juilliard School of Music. In the interim years, Beka performed in the International Festival “Georgians Play Jazz” at the Tbilisi State Conservatory, and the Montreux Jazz Festival, where he won first prize in prestigious Bösendorfer Solo Jazz Piano Competition. He was the youngest participant of this highly acclaimed annual festival and competition.

After his arrival to the US he had concerts and played at jam sessions in New York’s prestigious jazz clubs. In 2011 at age 15 Beka was selected as a semifinalist of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition, where his performance was highly praised by members of the jury, which included Herbie Hancock, Danilo Perez, Jason Moran, Renee Rosnes, Ellis Marsalis and Wayne Shorter. Now 16-years-old Beka has performed with many of the jazz greats of our time and headlined at the Black Sea Jazz Festival. The maturity of Beka’s writing, arranging and play on his debut self-titled album is unparalleled by most.

The album, released on the Roxboro Entertainment Group label, features Beka’s collaborative performances with Stanley Clarke, Lenny White, John Patitucci, Victor Bailey and Wallace Roney. He was brought to the attention of Stanley Clarke by his Return to Forever bandmates, Lenny White and Chick Corea, who had performed with and experienced Beka’s playing. “It’s exciting to see the energy he has and he wants to tell you all about it,” Clarke says. 

Drummer Jeremiah Collier is from Chicago’s Southside. 22-year-old Collier is a fierce drummer with a wide understanding of music genres. He combines technique with enthusiastic physical energy. Jeremiah has been performing with Clarke for several years and performed with him in concert when Clarke won the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master honor in Spring 2022.

Tenor saxophonist Emilio Modeste is a gifted young musician from Wilmington, DE. With his lyrical style, he is one of the greatest young jazz sax soloist in the country today. Modeste began playing sax at the age of eight and has performed and studied with world-renowned musicians. He was also a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra on tour and has travelled the world. Clarke considers Modeste to be in the Wayne Shorter school of playing. He is also a talented composer.

Guitarist Colin Cook is a remarkable musician originally from McLean, VA, with a new, fresh and exhilarating approach to jazz. He studied at USC’s Thorton School of Music and since has become a sought after artist, performing his with his searing guitar style in a number of bands. 

Natasha Agrama is a singer and artist. She was born and raised in Hollywood, California. She began her career in 2011.

Her signature sound is a musical mesh of multiple music genres including the blues, classic jazz, modern jazz, R&B, rock, pop, soul and fusion music. Her bio on her official Facebook artist page references her own compositions but nowhere there or on her official artist website does it note that she is a musician who is capable of playing an instrument in order to compose music. While she lists no sources of inspiration on her bio, her genetic history reveals a possible exposure to South American music.

Her music resume is highlighted by 4 EPs and a trio of singles. Her debut disc is an EP titled Live Session which dropped in 2012. Her most recent release is an EP titled Rumi Songs pt 1 which hit the digital record bins last summer.

She has performed live in such venues as The Blue Whale in Los Angeles and The Iridium in New York City. She has also performed in other jazz clubs and festivals. She hopes to put out her first full-length studio album titled The Heart of Infinite Change which is to be produced by Stanley Clarke, and includes such other musicians as Austin Peralta, George Duke, Stephen Thundercat Bruner, Ronald Bruner Jr., Kamasi Washington, Vinnie Colaiuta, Miles Mosley and Ruslan Sirota.
