Après les projets ‘ Left Tokyo Right ‘ (2015), ‘ Drops & Points ‘(2017) et ‘ Drops & Points Reworks ‘ (2018), Pascal Schumacher, chef d’orchestre, compositeur et vibraphoniste d’origine luxembourgeoise, se produit pour la première fois sur vibraphone dans un programme solo minimal très personnel. Une expérience sonore intime, pleine de sensibilité et de mélodie, fruit de sa récente résidence artistique au Centre Culturel opderschmelz. Pascal a étudié la percussion classique, le vibraphone jazz et la musicologie aux conservatoires de Luxembourg, Strasbourg, Bruxelles et La Haye. Il est titulaire d’un Master en musicologie de l’Université Marc Bloch de Strasbourg et d’un deuxième en musique avec spécialisation en vibraphone jazz du Koninklijk Conservatorium de La Haye. Il a remporté de nombreux prix, dont le Django d’Or belge (2005), Music:LX (2012), ECHO Jazz (2012), JTI Trier Jazz (2014), a été sélectionné pour le programme Rising Stars organisé par la European Concert Hall Organization (2009/10) et a joué comme soliste dans le projet « Überbach » primé d’un Echo Klassik 2017.

After the maximal ‘Left Tokyo Right’ (2015), ‘Drops & Points’(2017) and ‘Drops & Points Reworks’ (2018) projects, Luxembourg-born bandleader, composer and vibraphone player Pascal Schumacher strips down for the first time to a very personal, minimal solo program on the vibraphone. An intimate sonic experience full of sensibility and melody, and the result of Pascal’s recent artistic residence at the Centre Culturel opderschmelz. Pascal studied classical percussion, jazz vibraphone and musicology at music conservatories in Luxembourg, Strasbourg, Brussels and The Hague. He holds a Master’s Degree in musicology from the Marc Bloch University in Strasbourg, and yet another in music with a focus on jazz vibraphone from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague. He has won many awards, including the Belgian Django d’Or (2005), Music:LX (2012), ECHO Jazz (2012), JTI Trier Jazz (2014), was selected for the Rising Stars program organized by the European Concert Hall Organization (2009/10) and appeared as a soloist in ECHO Klassik 2017 awarded project “Überbach”.
