Dock in Absolute est un trio de jeunes musiciens professionnels luxembourgeois ayant acquis une solide expérience dans des lieux prestigieux tels que Berklee College of Music de Boston, Codarts University of Arts de Rotterdam, Hochschule für Musik de Saarbrücken. Leur approche du jazz est libre et sans conventions, ce qui leur permet d’inventer un univers riche de sons nouveaux. Dock in Absolute jouent un jazz résolument contemporain et accessible, avec des influences dance, pop, et classique dans la meilleure tradition romantique européenne. Tour à tour rêveur, flamboyant et énergique, leur style commun qui prend sa source dans une forte identité collective, est la parfaite expression d’un jazz jeune, conscient de ses racines, perméable à toutes les influences fertiles d’autres genres musicaux.

Dock in Absolute is made up of three young professional musicians having studied at the Berklee College of Music Boston, Codarts University of Arts Rotterdam, Hochschule für Musik Saarbrücken. With a shared love of jazz, they combine different styles of progressive Jazz, classical music and rock. The trio presented its music to many festivals and venues including the Hong Kong International Jazz Festival, Luxembourg Jazz Meeting, Paris Jazz Festival à la Cité, and many others. Their fresh approach to jazz allowed them to push boundaries, and to explore the potential of new unique wave of sounds to the jazz field. The multi-talented pianist and composer Jean-Philippe Koch has a strong classical background, he made brilliant studies and received multiple awards for outstanding musicianship. A leading figure on the Belgian and international jazz-rock scenes, David Kintziger is a creative artist and multi-instrumental musician. Michel Meis graduated in Chamber Music, Classical Percussion and Jazzdrums. He plays currently in jazz-clubs and festivals around the world.
