Un quartet dynamique basé sur une collaboration intense et unique entre trois musiciens de jazz les plus en vue sur la scène actuelle et l’un des plus actifs jazzmen islandais. Sigurdur Flosason a enregistré près de 20 albums de jazz très variés, démontrant son aptitude à la composition, à l’interprétation de standards et de musique expérimentale, et à l’improvisation. Basé à New York, le pianiste et compositeur Michel Reis est régulièrement en tournée aux Etats-Unis, en Europe, en Amérique centrale et au Japon. Il vient d’atteindre un niveau de jeu et d’inspiration qui lui permet de se frotter aux grands noms de la scène internationale. Depuis plusieurs années, le bassiste Marc Demuth représente avec force et conviction une nouvelle génération de musiciens de jazz européens, comme sideman sollicité dans de nombreux ensembles internationaux de renom et partenaire dans le RDW Trio couronné de succès. Le batteur Jeff Herr surprend avec une dextérité exceptionnelle tendant à un impact rythmique impressionnant. Son dernier album "Layer Cake" a été salué unaniment par la presse musicale.

This dynamic quartet shows off an energetic and unique cooperation of three outstanding, internationally acclaimed jazz musicians from Luxembourg with Sigurdur Flosason, one of Iceland’s most active jazzmen. Sigurdur has recorded over 20 CDs with a wide variety of jazz music, from his own compositions and jazz standards to experimental music and performances with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Norrbotten Big Band. Sigurdur is a driving force and frequent conductor of the Reykjavik Big Band and a founding member of the Icelandic Saxophone Quartet. He has performed in all the Scandinavian countries, the US, Canada, Japan, China, Thailand and various European countries. Based in New York City, pianist and composer Michel Reis has performed in many of the world’s most famous jazz clubs and festivals, including the Blue Note Jazz Club and the Montreux Jazz Festival. The bassist Marc Demuth is a strong and active presence of the new generation of jazz musicians in Europe. Since 2003 he works regularly with the Portuguese singer Sofia Ribeiro in different projects, leading at the same time his own quartet. Drummer Jeff Herr surprises internationally with his dexterity aiming at a strong rhythmical impact.
